Review: 10. medtech Rheinland-Pfalz
On 15th June 2023, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture, and Viticulture hosted the 10th medtech Rheinland-Pfalz event. This year’s focus was on the following topics:
- Healthcare Industry 4.0: Rethinking the healthcare industry, optimizing production processes, and utilizing healthcare data intelligently.
- Resilience as a Success Factor: What makes companies resilient? Resilience as a prerequisite for a sustainable, stable, and crisis-resistant healthcare industry.
- Sustainability as a Success Factor: Aspects of sustainable business in the healthcare industry and their opportunities.
What are the opportunities and challenges associated with increasing resilience in the healthcare industries? What specific challenges does the healthcare industry face in terms of sustainability? What role do smart and automated systems, the application of digital technologies, and the use of healthcare data play? Over 130 participants of this year’s medtech event discussed these and many other questions together with experts in the panel discussion and World Café format.
The Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Studies (IZKS) Mainz and the Medical Device Innovation Center (MIC) of the University Medical Center Mainz were also represented with an information booth, supporting the ministry’s initiative to strengthen the medical product industry and the medical-technical development of medical devices in Rheinland-Pfalz.
